starter bad?



It may be the solenoid so you will have to test it with an ohmmeter.
Check for continuity from terminal to ground.  If no continuity, replace
the solenoid.  If you get continuity, have the starter rebuilt at the
local starter-generator shop.  I assume the battery is fully charged?
to remove the starter you will have to remove the Carb support bracket
and with the right tools unbolt the starter being careful to note where
each bolt goes back, one is different.    Fred
