This switch connects to the seatbelt interlock circuit (makes the seatbelt
buzzer buzz and the seatbelt light light).  Has a black wire that goes to
ground, and a violet one that (on my car) goes to pin #9 on the seatbelt
interlock control.  My '74 GTV has the same switch, so it's at least that old.
It doesn't need to be connected.
