No pre '95 (or around that) 2.5 or 3.0 12V V6 ever had knock sensors,
with the exception of later 3.0 12Vs found in late model 164s and
new-style Spiders. They have the 24V look-alike cam covers. All 24V had
knock sensors (please correct me if I am wrong).
