164 Q/S trunk lid horrors

Hi!
       If Bernie or Glenn or others with trunk problems find
       a solution, i am certainly interested!
       my current mode of operation is to lift the trunk/wingthing
       (~35lbs.) & hold it up with a sturdy wooden 1"x 1"
       yardstick, as i've removed the gas struts entirely.
