Heat on the middle vents?

Hello all,
 Is there anyway to make the heat to come out on the middle vents? My 91 Spider's heat only comes from the bottom & the defrost vents. Sometimes it would be nice if the middle vents have some heat coming out of them. If this is by design, Alfa's Engineers must not have any college degree or brains at all.
