You took the words right out of my mouth Derek.
How do you argue with success? I don't think there's any question that
the 911 is one of the most successful sports car designs in history.
One of the reasons why Porsche is so appreciated is the fact that they
stayed true to their original design philosophy and were never swayed by
the automotive flavour of the month. I know, they are now making an SUV
but I like to think of it as a shrewd profit centre to pay for more
sports car development.
