This may contradict someone's theory, but both of my 1972 US model,
SPICA-injected 2000 GTVs  had the small fuel tank with a screw-on cap.  The
 1971 SPICA-injected, US model 1750 GTV I have now originally had the small
tank with a bayonet cap.
