Synthetic Xmission Oil

Not sure I completely understand your position on synthetic xmission oil. Is
it that they leak thru old seals using incompatible materials thus giving
you, the mechanic, a "dry" xmission to go "tsk, tsk" over, or that the gears
and synchros don't work well with them because of their superior lubricity?
The RedLine NS oils by design is a less "slippery" formulation to assure
proper synchro action. Actually it's harder to obtain a correct "dino" oil
than a synthetic these days. You won't find Shell Spirax in your local Pep
Boys or Kragans, at least out here on the Left Coast.
