+1 is different from what's being talked about here.  +1 means you go up a
wheel size (i.e., from a 14" wheel to a 15" wheel), and adjust the tire
sidewall such that the overall diameter stays the same (or close).

What's being discussed here is changing the section width of the tire, and
the corresponding sidewall heights.
