Alfa engine article in T&CC

Someone mentioned a week or so ago that the March Thoroughbred and Classic
Car (or was it Classic and Sports Car?) had an appreciation of the
four-cylinder Alfa engine. I snuck a peek at the article on a newsstand last
weekend, and was disappointed to see the pictured engine called a 2000, when
the presence of the angled oil filter canister on the block means it is a
1750 or 1600, and the statement that the small line drawing on one page is
the original 1300 version of the engine. In fact, the line drawing is of the
old cast iron 1900 or 2000, not directly related to the 1300. I didn't read
the article carefully, but was put off by these lacks of attention to
detail.
