Re: mysterious spider part



Hi Keith:

Sounds like the seat belt buzzer, but there's also another similar device 
nearby that reminds you the key is in the ignition.  The seat belt buzzer 
connects with one pink and one black wire, the key buzzer with two 
red/black wires.  Thank the previous owner for the disconnected wires, but 
insulate the connectors, as any of them can be live at various times, 
depending on the key position, whether you're in the seat, etc.  (On the 
factory wiring diagram the first device is #41, while the second is #40, 
pictured next to the tach.)
