Re: crunching reverse gear 164
Karl,
A couple of things that I would check in your gear-crunching problem:
* Is your clutch releasing properly?
* There is a rubber bush at the end of the reaction rod (the gear shift
mechanism is mounted on this). The bush deteriorates, and the gear shift
mechanism cannot accurately engage the gears. Replacing this on my car
made an unbelievable difference to gear shifting and selection.
