Well, some more reasonably good news- the car really runs now.  Not driving yet, that will come soon, but at least it runs on its own.

Turns out that we were using a bad ignition amplifier, so our spark was very erratic.  But now it runs, and seems to run pretty well.

Now, onward to driving the car!
