Sigilla flange (Loctite 510) instead of cigarette seals??

Ciao,

Has anybody had experience with this?? Apparently it is the way recommended
by Alfa Romeo. The idea is to leave the rubber cigarette seals out
alltogether and just fill it in with Loctite 510. I realize that the engine
has to be out of the car and completely turned upside down. Mine is on an
engine stand right now awaiting head installation.
I hear that Maserati engines are mostly sealed this way.
Am a bit nervous about not putting any solid seal in there. Any input
appreciated. Now back to the Renaults...and under my rock.
