Droopy Doors

I too have a '74 Spider that has required door adjustments. Removal of
the inside door panels reveals six bolt heads (three upper and three
lower) on each door that pass through the hinge flaps. If you loosen
these slightly, you can adjust either the front or rear of the door to
the proper height. Also, the bolts that go through the hinge to the
body can be loosened to adjust the tilt in and out from the body when
the door is closed. If the body or doors have not been significantly
bent, you should be able to create acceptable alignment. You may also
have to loosen and re-adjust the striker plate and pin assembly as well
as the guide blocks at the rear of the door. The guide blocks tend to
hold the rear end of droopy doors up. Good luck with your project!
