Re: Are Alfa-chameleons Okay?

I can't stay out of this any longer. The first Alfa I recall ever seeing
in the sheet metal (and falling for) was in 1963. It was a Guilietta
Veloce Sprint of 1961 vintage. Absolutely stock appearing until within
about 10 feet (at least to an 11 year old). This car was black with a
black interior and red piping. What made it special to my young eyes was
the shaved door handles and trunk, the Frenched headlights, and (are you
ready?) the spectacular black metallic paint. It wasn't just plain old
metallic, it was painted with big flakes of silver, red, and blue in the
clear top coat. Fabulous over the black base coat.

I wish I knew where that car was today ...........................

1984 GTV6 x2 (one is black . . . hmmm...)
1978 Spider
1981 Lancia Beta Coupe
1969 Fiat Spider
