My concern is that although they may be starved for content now (winter), what's
the forcast for prime racing season? There are a lot of NASCAR related series
out there(and a myriad of talk shows--save me!), and throughout the Summer they
could easily show only NASCAR type events. I could imagine Touring Car, Porsche
Supercup, Vintage, Goodwood, all formula other than F1, cool "lap of the gods"
vids and a variety of other stuff getting dropped. It's bad enough they have
lawnmower racing on the weekends now. It was kind of funny at first, but it's
getting ridiculous. Hey, maybe Speedchannel will cover the AROC time trials this
year. I'd much rather watch that. Seriously, keep in mind that it all boils down
to viewership and $$$. There are 1000 NASCAR fans to every sportscar racing fan.
You can't sell Tide or Uncle Ben's during Rally highlights or Australian V8's ;)
