Jay,

I may be a lucky one as I believe my lights are already H4. I take it
sealed beam is a system is where you have to replace the entire fitting if
your bulb goes? I can get the halogen hi/low lights and put them in the
back at this stage.

I went through this with a Digester from Down Under a bit ago.
According to him, the headlights for you cars in the southern hemisphere
are different than the ones we got in North America. We use standard 5
3/4" round lights. Easy to change from sealed beam ho-hum to Euro spec
H-4 lights that really do a job.

I seem to remember that y'all in the FAR south have to live with
whatever Carello would supply.

My suggestion was to find out if US spec headlight assemblies would fit
on your cars. Have a dismantler, or some who would go to one up here,
get the whole headlight assembly shipped to you in Oz, and then you
could use REAL lights. That is, of course, if the swap would fit.

Anyone tackled this? Am I blowing smoke, or is it a real possibility?
Not talking feasability, but *could* it be done?

Back to you (who ever that may be)

Hi All,

Anyone know what the exact size of Alfetta GTV headlights are? The
diameter
and any other numbers that maybe useful in replacing the whole unit.

Thanks
