Milano rear brake pad adjustment
I'm sitting here with a new set of pads (Mintex -- from AlfaBill) for my
Milano (still trying to sort out why there's so much pedal travel, new
MC, new SS brake lines, pressure bled system). I doubt that new pads
will fit the problem, but if I'm going to spend this much time under the
car, I might as well replace the pads (The rotors look really good).
Also, that removes one issue. Question: how to adjust the rear brakes.
Hans showed me how, but he has a special "tool" to hold the lock nut in
place while turning the adjuster with a hex wrench. None of the
aftermarket suppliers list the tool, so what are folks using for a
substitute?
Bill Bain
AROC Atlanta
'83 Spider (fails emissions test with O2 sensor attached, passes easily
with sensor disconnected?!)
'87 Milano (garage bound until I can trust the brakes)
