Alfa Report From Zurich

Posting this for a friend:

Digesti,

I have just returned from a 12 day vacation in Zurich. What can I
say...Alfas everywhere. It was a joy to see brand new Alfas cruising around.
147s, 156s and 166s everywhere. I would say about every 15th car I saw was
an Alfa. Mostly newer models, some older; 33, 90s, 164s, 75s and then even a
few GTV 2000s and one mint silver Sprint.

I wasn't able to drive any unfortunately. I did however drive the Smart car
(made by Mercedes and Swatch). It's a pretty funny little go-cart. Two
seater, no clutch but you shift it and has real loud colors. They have some
git-up-and-go, I supposed there isn't any real weight for the engine to
push, just like a go-cart. I rallyed it around the little neighborhood
streets making old ladies jump out of the way...just kidding. I was nice to
pedestrians but I did push the little car a bit. How could you not.

I also saw two Maserati 3200 GTs. They sounded incredible. Also, 2 bi-turbos
and a couple others whose model name eludes me at this time. Sorry. The
other car of note was an incredible Aston-Martin that looked like some
American muscle car. The only designation I could find was "V8".

There were tons of porsches, mercedes, bmw, fiats, seats, opels, etc...

I'm still a bit jet lagged. I will post the photos I took of the newer Alfas
later. I will say that the 147 is absolutely gorgeous in person. The photos
we see do not do justice to it.

Later,

Damian
