Here's my reply:

One might want to recall that the McLaren-Porsche F1 team had quite a
string of successes in the mid-80's. In '84, Lauda and Prost finished 1
and 2 in the Driver's championship, with McLaren-Porsche also winning the
Constructor's title. In '85, Prost was Driver's champion while Lauda was
10th, and McLaren-Porsche was again top Constructor. In '86, Prost
repeated as Driver's champion with Rosberg 6th, but that year
Williams-Honda won the Constructor's title. In '84, McLaren-Porsche also
had the most wins (12) and most podium finishes (16), repeating in '85 with
most wins (6) and most podiums (12).

I drive and Alfa, and you might say what you want about Porsche, but they
did their talking on the track much more recently and to a higher degree
than Alfa has done in quite some time.
