GTV6 RR window mystery

Does anyone know how to replace the small rolling window in the back of a
GTV6/Alfetta ?
Some prick smashed mine so he could get my rollerblades.  I managed to get a
replacement, but it was impossible to get out without ripping some things
apart and that's something I am loathe to do to the car that is bringing me
down to Va. Beach this weekend.
It seems that the only way is to rip out the weather stripping, and destroy
the rivets holding the steel rail that divides the 2 rear panes so that there
is clearance to move it at all.
Am I missing something?
