RE: Milano Verde ABS system failure
Sounds like an ABS pump failure, roughly equivilent to a brake booster
failure on a "normal" car. Check the electrical connection on the ABS pump,
they sometimes loosen up at the most unopertune times.

Just received an urgent phone call from my daughter, 3 hours away on south
side of Baltimore, MD, who told me about her brake failure scare. When she
applied brakes the ABS light came on followed by the brake warning light
and she virtually lost all brakes. She was able to press very hard on the
brake pedal and got it to finally stop before ramming anyone. I checked the
service manual and found an elaborate testing procedure with special
testing equipment. In the event she cannot find someone to fix it, is there
a way of bypassing this ABS system and making it a simple, garden variety
braking system? Any help anyone can offer is much appreciated.
