Unsprung weight concerns the weight out at the wheel.  The effect of four
lbs on the car is not a concern, but the effect of additional weight out at
the wheel is a concern.

The lower the weight at the wheel, the quicker the suspension can react.
That's why things like aluminum (vs steel) calipers and light weight wheels
are important.
