I know someone who imported a 164Q all-wheel drive to the USA and it cost him almost $75,000 (includes all the paper work, coversion, lawyer fees, the price of the car etc.).  This was done the Legal way, then there are those (a few new Spiders) roaming around done with incorrect titles or dealer plates.
