164 slow warm-up NOT

I have both 92 164S and 94 164LS.
They warm up pretty fast.  There are two miles
of 35mph street driving before I hit freeway.
Usually I will see coolant temp needle move
two notches before I enter freeway.  My 92 VW
Corrado's VR6 engine with iron block, its needle
hardly even moved before I hit freeway unless there
is traffic jam.   With 164 V6, after I hit free way,
another 5 miles driving, the needle will pass over 175F
mark.  Maybe I am the only one has alu. engine blocks <g>.
