I could never figure out what Opal had to do with reddish-brown, the opal gem 
isn't brown, but perhaps this was a poetic way to describe the metallic kandy 
kolor tangerine flakes in the babyshit brown color.  To me opal would suggest 
an ivory white with flashing lights of blue, yellow, gold, maybe pink, 
possibly irredecscent, but surely not brown. However, it also has a code 
number, not so poetic, but a lot more specific: du Pont's dopio strato AR 
545. ("Opale Met.")  A rose is a rose is a rose and 545 is ugly any way you 
call it out.
