In case anybody else is interested, I found a web site of Bizzarro's in Redwood City. The Saturday auction is for cars that are fully smog-tested. There is a Thursday auction for "Mechanic's Specials" for dealers, dismantlers and mechanics only. These presumably are not smogged.
