Re:Injector o-rings
In AD v8#109 Adam Doherty asks:
"Are the o-rings that seal the fuel injectors at the rail and head
available? This is for a 164. The part would seem generic enough--then
again, they may insist you buy a new injector; which seems a touch
overkill.... It would seem generic a part to find at an autoparts store,
or I'm hoping its that easy."
If they are true o-rings (that is, they have a round cross section), then I
would suggest you try a well stocked local car parts place. Make them
understand it's for a fuel injection system though, because rubber is not
rubber, is not necessarily rubber. You don't want an unseen catastrophic
failure there, of all places.
If they are NOT o-rings, rather they are what's called a molded shape with a
square or other shape cross section, don't try to substitute non-OEM parts.
