I recall reading in one of my giulietta books that the ti which is roughly "touring international" was almost an industry convention.  i.e. the BMW 2002 ti meant that, while the 2002 tii was plus injection.

Anyone else confirm this?  I'm quite leery of this kind of posting now, considering recent foot-in-mouth disease I have...
