re: what's in a name



I seem to remember that the "i" in Ti stands for "Internazionale." I've
also seen it more often the way I've typed it, with the lower-case "i"
than with an upper-case one, but VW doesn't seem to have received any
flak for using GTI in all caps. So, GTi would be Grand Turismo
Internazionale, which I suppose implies a car suitable for fast
international travel. Sounds like an Alfa coupe to me!
