re: motor mount replacement

In an informative post in AD V9 #96, Jim Neil described a neglected
characteristic of motor mounts: "The right side mount will out last the
left side 10 to 1. This is because the engine torques clockwise...the
engine torque will want to stretch or pull apart the left mount while the
right mount only sees compression."

Another consequence of this arrangement of stresses is that the steel part
of the right motor mount (the part bolted to the block) will sometimes
crack or pull apart at the welds. When replacing mounts to cure a sagging
engine, it's a good idea to check the entire assembly, because the steel
part is not normally replaced along with the lower, rubber section.
