Re:Windsheild wiper wiring question

"Can anyone explain to me the function of the windshield wiper circuit on a
'74 Spider? Mine only runs in one speed, which looks to be its slower speed.
I checked the voltage on the four contacts at the wiper motor and have ~12V
on both pairs irregardless of wether the switch is in the slow speed or fast
speed position."

Ed, Going off of memory on my 71 GTV, there are two wires controlled by the
three way switch going to the motor. 1 hot makes fast and 2 hot makes slow.
You'll have a constant hot for the self-park mechanism. I'm not sure what
the fourth wire would be, unless the ground isn't through the case. If you
open the circuit up at a connector or the switch, you should be able to get
a better idea of where the fault lies.

Cheers,
Lawrence
