164 feul rail hoses fix

For two short fuel hose on top of 164 V6 engine.
I used BMW 8x13mm fuel line( part # 13 31 1 469 781 )
sold in 1 meter length only in US. about $10.
I wouldn't try normal auto store in US.

For installation of hose closer to driver side on
24V V6 engine, fuel rail should be loosen to make
it easy so you don't damage the hose trying to squeeze
it in. Use good screw type clamps, not the one sold
in normal auto stores that will chew into hose.
Do not over tighten it the first time. Let it
settled in for a week and just tighten it a little
bit later. This takes experience.

Check it on cold morning start, that's when it start to
leak when hose lost its resilience and hardened
so the hose clamps are loosened. When it is hot, you
cannot see the leak because it expanded and sealed better.
Constant tension( or torque ) hose clamps will be nice there,
but there is no single one that has enough clamp force in
that small size.

Replace them alone with all major radiator hoses
or every four years. I replace them all with other
stuffs on timing belt replacement. There is almost
nothing to do in between.
