The ABS is almost certainly the cause of it...

Why only when the brakes are on? Because, if the ABS is anything like the
Bosch system on my Citroen CX, then it only does anything when the brakes
are applied. One of the ECU feeds is from the stop light switch...

Try an in-line suppressor on the stereo power. If you want to check it
all, disconnect an ABS sensor, or the ECU, whichever's easier to get at -
you should find it's gone.
