oh, beginning of last year i was in Taiwan and was surprised their
gas price wasn't as steep as I've expected. It was around $2.00 / gallon
as well.. 

just another data point.

Jess <--- don't mind paying more as long as the extra $$ goes to where
          its supposed to and for a good cause.
