FIAT Perception

Just to put your mind at rest about the popular perception of FIAT cars in the
US.....  Last night's "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno featured an interesting
comment by Mr. Leno (who, besides being one of the most widely known TV
personalities in the US is also a MAJOR car collector).  His joke:

GM and FIAT have announced an agreement in which GM has agreed to purchase 20%
of FIAT.  Now GM will be able to develop a GEO Metro which breaks down EVERY
day.

There's a long road ahead, indeed, as in the minds of 90% of Americans, "Italian
