offtopic: new list

i have arbitrarily created a new mailing list,

intel@domain.elided

for the discussion of 20th century history relating to crypto, security,
espionage, intelligence, etc, relating to things like Ultra, Enigma, Magic,
Purple, signals intelligence, operational issues devolving from such
intelligence, and various and sundry related topics such as the XX system
used by the British. this is intended to be a semi-serious list for
professional and amateur historians, and interested bystanders -- but k00ks
and conspiracy theorists need not apply.

Graham Hilder and I are on the verge of trading book lists, and there may
be a broader audience for this stuff.
