Suds, etc.

Yeah, I think you're right but I've never seen the car as the owner has it
"stashed."

>Joe Elliot thinks 600 164s/year in the USA would = a profit

If I said 600 I meant 900. That's just what I read in a newspaper in 1995.
But maybe it was 9000 and I remember wrong. I'd be willing to believe
900=profit though, 'cause they were selling <5k cars a year and that's all
they wanted. Only when figures dropped <1k did they give up. I'm sure Alfa
wouldn't have to pull Nissan sales figure to turn a profit, if that's the
case it's no wonder they're not here!!

As for Zat's '72 'Sud, I WAS 95% sure that they only made 4-doors in 1972.
And all this talk about 'Suds got me thinking...if the Alfasud was
introduced in 1972/3, then would that make this lowly 1.1L front-driver the
first Alfa to be equipped with inboard brakes?? Jeepers.

***WARNING***
PERTINENT ALFA ROMEO QUESTIONS FOLLOW:

Where can I get the rubber bushing that goes in the male part of my door
latch (GTV6)? Also, how hard is it to R&R the driveshaft center support?
Is the front donut as hard as it looks to get at? Will I have to mess with
the center donut?

Thanks,
Joe Elliott
