Clutch Bushing -- Interim Report

- -- the suggestions for removing the old clutch bushing from the end of
the crankshaft were threefold:

Hydraulic -    Fill the hole with grease. Drive in the clutch centring
tool, or similar rod, and let the hydraulic pressure in the grease force
the bushing out from behind. This really appealed to me, an hydraulic
engineer, but didn't budge the bushing while damaging the 'hammer end'
of the clutch centring tool

Pilot Bearing Puller -- Too big to be 'the world's tiniest puller' but
with two grabbers small enough to go inside the bushing, then expand
behind it. Then either a slide hammer or threaded rod to pull it out.
'It' remains undefined, because all I managed to pull out were the
grabbers and bronze shavings. Didn't find a slide hammer version.
Contemplated removing the bushing shaving by shaving, but returned the
rental PBP instead

Tapping -- the bushing, threading in a bolt, and pulling out bushing and
bolt, perhaps with a slide hammer or an external puller on the bolt
head. Untried as yet

I may finish up just reaming the thing out. It seems soft enough.
