I just e-mailed JW telling that a common trick amongst motorcyclists to start bikes that have laid around
since last summer is to get some ether (yes you can get in a special spray can)
and squirt this into the air intake or directly into the cylinder via the spark plug hole, then crank.

Before JW's spider blows up as a result of trying this at home, has anyone tried this on
a fuel-injected car engine.  I wonder what Fred D. has to say about this.  I wouldn't try it before hearing from him.
