The chief difference in construction between SA and M Snell rated
helmets is that in the SA helmets, the lining is Nomex for fire
safety. In motorcycle helmets, the lining is Nylon, which is quite
flammable. It's not so much that it protects you from heat, it just
keeps the fire from going right up inside your helmet. =:0
