detector advice - thanks

I have had several letters advising against cordless radar detectors.
Seems they don't have what it takes to competed in a "wired" world.
Thank you all for comments and remarks.  Seems I will have to dig under
the dash of Al Fetta and find 12 volts for a "real" detector.
