headlight "fix"

"I just discovered that one of my new euro-spec Carello headlamp lenses

victim of road hazard and has a little crack with a tiny hole.  Since
it's
off center a repair would not affect *vision* but only aesthetics.  Is

a repair for this?  What material do you guys recommend?  Clear epoxi,
superglue, sugar free gum?

I was thinking, again,  wondering if the guys who claim to be able to
"fix" windshield chips and dings could be of any help?  I believe the
Milano headlights are glass, not plastic.  If the ding is minor, then
that might be a way to go.  Just make sure that the repair is water
and/or air tight.  Any leakage will help promote corrosion where you
can't get at it to refinish.

If it works, remember me.  If not, then  someone else must have given
you the advice.  :)
