Fantasy and speculations about 164S



First some fantasy:
the S all the inputs to theoretically make it into an pseudo ABC stabillity vehicle.I say pseudo because the shocks only provide 2 settings of damping, not also hydraulic lifting.However (fiction begins), what if it were for the 4 shocks to take the Sport and soft values at different settings at one given moment.(say 3 of them soft and one hard).About the input given to a processing unit that would do such adjustments- well, given just one accelerometer, it could be diferentiated from say the readings of the phonic wheels of the hubs.
You could have, by example hard shocks on the inner part of the turn and soft on the other side of the car.Like a fake ABC system. (fiction ends)
Now for some speculation: I think there might be an adjustment of how hard the sport setting of the sport shocks is.Since the coils can only be on or off, it would have to be mechanical and on the shock.This because different S-es felt different degrees of difference between the 2 settings (hard and soft)

About Bora, there was an article stating exactly how long the copyright of Maserati on the name Bora lasted.Maserati failed to pay and VW was right there, behind the door, waiting...I don't think at all that the Bora name doesn't ring a bell and is not a desirable name given it's connection with Maserati.
