alfa & coldweather

Living in NY with my alfa outside covered in this current artic weather. I 
have thought that maybe its best not to start her up until it gets a little 
warmer. I was thinking that
maybe the oil would be to heavy and possibly harm the engine. I would like to 
get 
some other opinions.
