164B on auction, and a turbo 164 ATL area (?)

Not EBay, not Barrett-Jackson, oh no. This one's staright outta the back
parking lot at my local Midas. Does that turn anyone off right away?
Went in to check on a possible leak ahead of O2 sensor, and the mechanic
there said he had "one-a-those out back." At first I was excited, but as I
turned the corner I felt like I entered the twighlight zone. Here's the
deal- MY 1991 164 Base, build date 9/90, black (exceptions to follow), grey
cloth seats (again, exceptions to follow), 5SPD, 83K miles. Close inspection
showed the car had been t-boned, right on passenger side B-pillar. It has
been pulled out, doors on that side are now white, with front window glass
missing. Front passenger seat is also missing, and a bunch of stuff is still
torn apart on inside. Rear bumper cover is MIA too. I didn't ask where the
parts were, or if they were still around. Engine compartment was dirty but
no excessive internal bleeding of any kind of fluid was noted. Basically,
this car is either a thorough restoration, parts, or is an artificial coral
reef waiting to happen. The mechanic said the car drove well but that the
owner was probably putting it up at local auction, but said he'd likely
consider any other offers. If anyone's interested, I can give you the
number. Car is located in Asheville, NC.
When looking at my car (no problems found, BTW), he said someone in Atlanta
area had a turbo on a 164. Said the guy got it (the turbo) from Germany, was
about $2700 parts and labor, and that it was wicked fast. Anyone out there
want to claim this? Please? I'll pay you for a ride!
