Re: Rear rotor removal



Did you already remove the two flat-head machine screws which hold the 
rotor to the flanged hub? They may be covered with rust based on your 
description. These need to be removed first. Sometimes a cheap impact screw 
driver is needed to get these out. You frequently must also back off the 
parking brake adjusters to create the necessary clearance. These adjusters 
are found through the holes in the face of the rotor casting After that, it 
should come free easily, but may still need some carefully placed whacks 
(not on the friction surface) with a hammer and/or possibly some 
penetrating fluid around the hub to loosen excessive rust. On re assembly, 
clean everything really well and maybe put a smear of anti seize on the hub 
to prevent it from rusting again.
