75 Clutch/gear problem?

Hello!

I have '87 Alfa 75, with 1600 engine.
The problem is when I'm starting to drive, at the point when the clutch is 
half-pressed, there are strange vibrations and "metal sound" come from the 
gearbox. The problem is only when I'm on 1st
gear - when switching gears afterwards (except to the 1st one),
everything is OK.

What could it be? Can it be left this way, or I have a chance to
stuck soon?
