higher wattage headlights

What are people's experiences with installing higher wattage (90/100W as
opposed to the stock 55/60W) bulbs in the headlights?  Assuming that the
wiring harness has been modified with heavy-duty wires and relays (as per
http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/how_to/relays/), is there any danger of melting
the headlight assemblies themselves?

My '92 33 definitely has glass lenses on the headlights, but the reflectors
seemingly are made out of plastic - any danger there?
